The Nature Conservancy of California

http://www.nature.org/ourinitiatives/regions/northamerica/unitedstates/california/

From time to time Nature Sounds lists the names and phone numbers of various Nature Conservancy preserves in California. We do this to aid serious recordists who may wish to avoid organized field trips, on which non-recordists can unintentionally compromise your best recording effort. On Nature Conservancy preserves you and the coyotes may have the place to yourselves, and you may avoid recording livestock and off-road vehicles. Happy recording!
